Belfast Castle

Belfast Castle, located on the slopes of the Cave Hill north of the city and offers spectacular views over Belfast City.

Tours of the castle, together with refreshments and a complimentary slide show take place during the summer months of May and June

Belfast Zoo

First opened in 1934 the zoo is owned and run by the Belfast City Council. Find out about the animals at the zoo including the tigers, cheetahs and leopards along with the gorillas, chimpanzees and Asian elephants.

Cavehill County Park

For an interesting archaeological and natural features, climb the Cave Hill past Neolithic caves. This will give you a panoramic view form MacArts Fort all over Belfast. United Irishmen planned rebellion on this hilltop in 1798. The park has a series of trails and an adventure playground and in my opinion well worth a visit
